Decisions in Care, LLC was founded in 2001 by Susan Stuart, a life-long New Mexico resident, on the premise that
New Mexico's elders deserve the highest quality representation as they deal with the increasingly
complex world of government and private sector agencies. Our emphasis is on assisting consumers
to maintain their independence, advocate for quality services, and promote maximum quality of life.
Susan has over twenty years of experience in the field of geriatrics.
She holds a bachelor's degree with a concentration in gerontology. She is a Nationally Certified Long Term Care Manager and a Nationally Certified Master Guardian.
She was a founding member and is a current Board Member for The New Mexico Guardianship Association.
She is a member of The National Guardianship Association and a member of The National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
She has served as a volunteer for many professional organizations which are focused on improving services for the elderly and disabled.
She presents on a variety of topics affecting the elderly population in the community. She also has experience as a family caregiver.
Robert is a licensed master social worker with twenty-six years of experience working with the disabled and elderly populations.
He was employed in state government with adult protective services and the disabled and elderly (D & E) Medicaid waiver program. He has experience in geriatric psychiatric services, hospice and home healthcare.
He is a member of the National Guardianship Association and has experience serving as guardian and caregiver for a family member.
