Decisions in Care, LLC was founded in 2001 by Susan Stuart, a life-long New Mexico resident, on the premise that
New Mexico's elders deserve the highest quality representation as they deal with the increasingly
complex world of government and private sector agencies. Our emphasis is on assisting consumers
to maintain their independence, advocate for quality services, and promote maximum quality of life.

Susan has over twenty years of experience in the field of geriatrics and holds a bachelor's degree with a concentration in gerontology.
She is a Nationally Certified Long Term Care Manager and a Nationally Certified Master Guardian. Susan was a founding member of The New Mexico
Guardianship Association and is a current member of The National Guardianship Association as well as The National Association of Professional Geriatric Care Managers.
She has served as a volunteer for many professional organizations which are focused on improving services for the elderly and disabled.
She presents on a variety of topics affecting the elderly population in the community. She also has experience as a family caregiver.
Robert is a licensed master social worker with twenty-six years of experience working with the disabled and elderly populations.
He was employed in state government with adult protective services and the disabled and elderly (D & E) Medicaid waiver program. He has experience in geriatric psychiatric services, hospice and home healthcare.
He is a member of the National Guardianship Association and has experience serving as guardian and caregiver for a family member.
Angela has a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in art therapy and a master of business administration degree. She is a Nationally Certified Guardian and possesses over twenty years of experience with geriatric
and disabled individuals in numerous areas including administration, program management, case management, day program management, crisis intervention, home care, mental health and Medicaid waiver programs. She is also a
Certified New Mexico Law Enforcement Academy Instructor. Angela has three children, one of whom is hearing impaired and is fluent in sign language.
Barbara Jones has experience working in long term care facilities. She is a Certified Nursing Assistant. She has worked in restorative services, assisting residents with strengthening and maintaining their optimal
range of motion. Barbara has personal and professional experience with dementia. She is bilingual and has worked for the Albuquerque Public School system at the elementary level as an Educational Assistant in the classroom
and as a Health Assistant as well.
